From time to time, the Studio does digress a little from it’s main line of business, gastronomy. Previous digressions have included forages into the world of fragrances, complex websites, searching for financial partners, but above all, every time it’s all about meeting new people. And it’s no different with this Japanese firm this time round. Our ties with Mr Imei Tokuhide are delightful as are our discussions on his favourite subject an extremely soft synthetic fur manufactured in Japan.
He has asked us to come up with a name that is pronounceable both by the French and the Japanese, that has a similar meaning in both languages (blankets, bed spreads, etc), plus a logo and packaging for their distribution channels (department stores). The Près de l’âtre brand already exists and has been distributed in Japan for about a year. We are currently looking at new accessories to expand their new range of household products.
