The Agency’s focus revolves around the world of food and food professionals, from patissiers to cheese mongers, delicatessens, bakers and pastry ‘touriers’. We just love their passion and unwavering insistence for only the finest produce. And when those professionals are Masters of Culinary Arts or MOF (Meilleurs Ouvriers de France), it’s impossible to resist invitations to come up with new solutions for showcasing their creations. As fellow creatives, we’re on the same wavelength!
I’d like to introduce Yann Brys, a highly talented MOF, renowned for his signature Tourbillon (whirl) creations, his imaginative Christmas logs and his patisserie creations for the Brach, Evok, Siner, Nolinski and Cour des Vosges Hotels in Paris. This winter, he created two limited edition gift boxes for his own Tourbillon brand: herb flavored candies and gourmet liqueurs.
The first contained 9 brand new creations: dark chocolate coriander, basil, estragon, thyme, verbena and mint bonbons. The current ‘vegetal’ trend is gaining ground and can take some surprising forms. We sampled all of these chocolates. They’re mildly sweet yet beautifully balanced with subtle herby notes. Our favorite was undoubtedly estragon. It’s a tough life being an Omnidesigner! The second box containing liqueurs was an instant hit in Japan and was in fact, specially designed for this market. Two beautiful gift boxes to add to our bespoke collection of patisserie and chocolate boxes for Yann Brys.
For those who didn’t know, we created the Tourbillon food concept in 2017 – the brand, boutique, packaging, tablet mould, web site and book. Since then, Yann has expanded his chocolate lab to include a storage area and a weekend viennoiserie outlet. It’s based in Saulx les Chartreux just outside Paris and the queues outside this Christmas demonstrated to us that Yann and Laetitia Brys have built up a loyal customer base, far from downtown Paris over the past 3 years. Food lovers can be found throughout France! Long live our food professionals!
